Endoscopy is a procedure used to examine the upper respiratory tract, larynx (voice box), pharynx, gutteral pouches (air spaces in the head connecting the ear to the throat) and sinuses. These are the most common areas of interest. This technique may also be used to examine the bladder and oesophagus and also to take colon biopsies.
