An orphaned foal at  two days' with failure of passive transfer. This is a condition where the foal has no immune system. FPT follows as a result of failure to suckle the mare successfully in the 12 hours' following birth or the mare has poor quality colostrum.

Here we are transfusing the foal with plasma containing antibodies.
